Attendants at London Immanuel Church listened to the message titled Moses and the Burning Bush, Moses who ran away due to killing an Egyptian was in the desert for 40 years attending sheep. his training was because of his short tempter, he grew up in the palace learning the ways of the world and though that the only way to salvation was only through the method of the world which is violence and killing however the mistake that Moses made was not the way, and not attending sheep, being a shepherd means obedience, humility and gentleness he became a very soft person. For us we once lived in the world, the teachings of the world. we also have short temper like the world does also, we have the same kind of violence inside of us and it has to be taken out one by one,
The life of serving will help, also being trained in a church and doing the lords work leads us to obedience and gentleness, Jesus says learn from me for i am gentle and humble in heart, we can only learn through Jesus his method and not the method of the world. The world does not teach you to have humility let alone the direction.
The second part was about the meeting between Moses and God, Moses meets God in the burning Bush, and tells him not to come any closer. First part is that a bush is very happy indeed there is nothing glorious about a burning bush although God is all powerful and all knowing still he appears to man in a very unexpected way. Moses sees this appearance and bows down. Like the image of Jesus in Isaiah 53 that has no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, the image of Jesus was not great however in Jesus he has huge power and passion to save the world, to heal people to teach about he kingdom of God restore them from slavery of the world and sin. Jesus truly loved with fire and passion, and loved his disciples till the end and even dying on the cross, that flame of passion still continues. God tells Moses do not come any closer for this is holy ground, to distinguish is very important, who we are, what we are, the time the place the objects about us also. We are precious people, we are holy temples loved by God and should not be treated recklessly.
Time is important, time for service time for morning service, that has to be distinguished by with God this is a quality time and should not be broken. Space also, what kind of place is it, it should a a holy place, a church is a holy place and should be treated well. Objects also should be treated preciously.
Many people received grace at this time, and from then on will concentrate on the retreat which will happen on the last weekend of August.
