On October 5, 2024, London Immanuel Church hosted a mini retreat centered on the profound messages of Romans chapters 1 and 2. The retreat bible studies led by Pastor Jason, who delivered in-depth sermons. In Romans 1, Paul emphasizes on the sin of the Gentiles and the power of the gospel for salvation and the need for faith to live righteously before God. Romans 2 highlights the sin of believers, God’s judgment and calls for true repentance and righteousness, urging believers to live in accordance with His will, not merely by external actions but by the renewal of the heart.

Bible students from UCL and Queen Mary University of London as well as online bible student participated in the mini-retreat. They shared that studying and meditating on God’s Word was a deeply enriching time. New students wanted to continue to study Romans regularly. After the Romans 1 & 2 Study, dinner fellowship followed and they shared their testimonies and faith with each other. Following the retreat, attendees joined the “Praise Night” organized by Jubilee UK. It was a time of worship and celebration where many received grace, feeling uplifted and encouraged through the power of praise. Members and students were filled with grace and felt the presence of God.
